EELP Seeks General RAs

We’re seeking research assistants to work closely with our staff attorneys and legal fellow on a variety of topics in environmental and energy law, including state/local climate mitigation strategies and corporate climate risk disclosure. Our research assistants will also work on keeping our regulatory rollback tracker up to date.

EELP Seeks RAs for Sea Level Rise/Environmental Law Projects

We’re seeking research assistants to work with Staff Attorney Hana Vizcarra and Legal Fellow Hannah Perls on various legal research projects related to sea level rise. Currently identified research topics cover issues such as: the impacts of recent amendments to the Stafford Act designed to provide grants to communities to mitigate their vulnerability to environmental disasters; obligations in the real estate industry to disclose flooding/sea level rise risks; legal ramifications of sea level rise and other climate hazards threatening Superfund sites; water utility obligations in the face of saltwater intrusion or facility vulnerability; and others. You can see some of the work that we have already done on sea level rise and oceans (including student work) here.

EELP Seeks RAs for Environmental Regulation Projects

We’re seeking research assistants to work closely with its attorneys on research projects related to environmental regulatory changes that have occurred under the current administration and possible shifts in approach under a new administration, should there be one. Topics include Clean Air Act research related to vulnerable communities, continuing research on the impact of using the Congressional Review Act to eliminate recently enacted rules, and other topics relevant to a potential change in administration in 2021.
