Harvard Law School’s Environmental and Energy Law Program (EELP) is seeking a Fellow for a one-year appointment with consideration for a second year. The fellowship is a full-time, in-person position in Cambridge, Mass.
The post-doctoral Fellowship in Corporate Net-Zero Targets, supported by the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University, provides an opportunity for an early-career economist to undertake research on corporate greenhouse gas emission targets. Research topics will include data-intensive empirical evaluation of:
- Drivers of corporate adoption of emission targets;
- Corporate emission-cutting strategies, including decarbonization investment, divestment, and offsets;
- Environmental, financial, and economic impacts of voluntary corporate emission reductions.
The fellow will work with post-doc sponsors Joseph Aldy, Jody Freeman, George Serafeim, and Michael Toffel.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have earned their PhD within the last five years or will complete it by June 2025.
Preferred Qualifications
Background or experience in environmental economics, corporate finance and governance, or comparable fields.
Additional Information
The appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of renewal dependent on funding and business needs.
Salary
The base salary for this position will be up to $90,000.00, commensurate with years of experience.
