Lead Counsel, US Tax Incentives for Clean Solutions

The Lead Counsel, U.S. Tax Incentives for Clean Solutions will serve as a senior member of Environmental Defense Fund’s U.S. Legal and Regulatory team. The Lead Counsel will be responsible for developing and implementing high impact strategies on complex legal and regulatory policy matters related to federal tax incentives for clean affordable solutions that create jobs in the U.S. This position will help manage and collaborate with attorneys, analysts, consultants, and other experts to achieve and support progress on key priorities and will engage directly with senior policymakers, leading legal and regulatory experts, private sector leaders and associations, and NGO partners and allies. Fellowship in Urban Environmental Law

The Guarini Center on Environmental, Energy and Land Use Law seeks a full-time Legal Fellow for the 2025-2026 academic year to conduct policy-relevant research, writing, and outreach related to innovation in the development of environmental law. The Fellow will be expected to produce a series of written papers directed at both policy and academic audiences and to prepare issue briefs for workshops, talks, and conferences. In addition to excellent research and writing skills, the Fellow should think creatively about policy, be self-driven, and have the ability to write independently.

Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree is required. Demonstrated experience working on environmental law or local government law is strongly preferred. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.

 


Geoengineering Law and Policy Project Director

The UCLA School of Law seeks highly energetic and entrepreneurial individual with significant experience working on complex, scientifically- and technologically-driven issues in international and domestic law, governance, and policy, to serve as Geoengineering Law and Policy Project Director for the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. This is a two-year, full-time, year-round, non-tenure track academic position with an expected start date of April 1, 2025. Special Assistant Attorney General Fellowship

The Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General will host a highly motivated attorney as a Special Assistant Attorney General for a two-year legal fellowship in the Environmental Protection Division of the Energy & Environment Bureau. This fellowship, sponsored by the New York University School of Law State Energy & Environmental Impact Center, is for a two-year term with the possibility of extension subject to mutual agreement between the Attorney General’s Office and the State Impact Center. CATF seeks an attorney with five or more years of relevant experience to work with our U.S. Legal Team. CATF’s Legal Team engages actively with U.S. state and federal administrative rulemaking and policy matters and represents clients in litigation. Legal Team members also support CATF’s subject-matter programs, offering them strategic legal advice on the best approaches to leveraging their technical work into robust policies and implementation.

 


Summer Internship at Vermont Law School

The Center for Agriculture and Food Systems at Vermont Law and Graduate School seeks law students for its summer honors intern program from May 27 to August 1, 2025. Preference will be given to rising 3L students. Interns will receive a stipend of $8,000 to work full-time with CAFS. Interns may work in person in South Royalton, Vermont, or remotely. Responsibilities may include legal research, drafting law and policy documents, conducting original research in the form of interviews and surveys, drafting case studies, and providing general support.  The application deadline is Jan. 6, 2025.
