DOJ launched a new Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) Environmental Crimes Task Force to investigate and prosecute violations of federal environmental, wildlife, and human health laws, with a core focus on environmental justice-related violations. The task force will bring together enforcement staff from various agencies, including the Army Corps of Engineers, EPA, FBI, and HUD.
