EPA proposed a rule that would revise the Federal Air Rules for Reservations (FARR) under the Clean Air Act. If finalized, the rule would update the program for the first time since 2005, reduce high levels of particulate matter emissions, issue three new Federal Implementation Plans (FIPs), and improve air quality in Indian reservations located in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, including the Snoqualmie Indian Reservation, the Cowlitz Indian Reservation, and the Samish Indian Nation.
