FEMA published a notice requesting comments on a proposed change to how it collects data from recent disaster survivors. FEMA seeks to better prepare for disasters and understand individual experiences within historically underserved communities by conducting qualitative focus groups, cognitive interviews, and targeted surveys. This proposed information collection was previously published to the Federal Register in October of 2021, but only one comment was received.
