GAO published a report with recommendations to Congress and different Federal agencies to “better support Alaska Native village efforts to build resilience to environmental threats.” For Congress, the report recommended a coordinating entity to support communities. For the DOI, the report recommended additional options to provide specific technical support to help Native Villages access Federal program resources and to remedy obstacles to obtaining resources. The DOI concurred with both of these recommendations.
