HUD announced a new data sharing agreement between FEMA and HUD regarding grantees under the Community Development Block Grant programs for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR), Mitigation (CDBG-MIT), and National Disaster Resilience (CDBG-NDR) to address privacy-related issues regarding long-term grantees. Grantees were required to revise their data sharing agreements to match. The agreement enables HUD grantees to access FEMA Individual Assistance data to better assess post-disaster impacts and unmet needs, and market their programs to potentially impacted individuals.
