The Biden-Harris administration announced an agreement with Pacific Northwest Tribes to restore wild salmon, expand clean energy production, increase resilience, and provide energy stability in the Columbia River Basin. As part of the agreement the federal government agreed to provide: new funding for restoration of native fish and wildlife, DOE support for new Tribally sponsored clean energy projects, flexible management of Federal hydrosystem to support fish populations, and studies of dam services for possible reconsideration of existing dams.
