May 3, 2018 The FCC finalized a rule excluding small wireless facilities on non-Tribal lands from NEPA review, finding such actions are not “major Federal actions” subject to environmental review.
Apr. 22, 1986 The FCC issued a final rule, effective July 21, 1986, updating its NEPA rules to conform with CEQ’s 1978 NEPA regulations. Under the rule, the FCC determined that the telecommunications industry does not generally raise environmental concerns, and thus excluded most actions from environmental review.
