Welcome to Hana Vizcarra and Caitlin McCoy!

Hana Vizcarra joins us as Staff Attorney for the EELP. Before coming to HLS, Hana spent seven years practicing environmental law in the Washington D.C. offices of Beveridge & Diamond and Vinson & Elkins. She represented clients in complex environmental litigation, counseled them on environmental compliance and regulation in state, federal, and international jurisdictions, and advised them on environmental aspects of transactions. Hana’s work for clients in a wide range of energy related industries often involved the intersection of energy and environmental law. Before becoming an attorney, Hana spent seven years working in research and communications for various political and advocacy organizations. Hana has also maintained an active pro bono practice primarily focused on immigration law. Hana received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and B.A. from Pomona College in California.

Environmental and Energy Law Program founder and faculty director Professor Jody Freeman says, “Hana and Caitlin are superb lawyers who will add immeasurably to our program. They are ready to hit the ground running, and lead new initiatives on federal regulatory rollbacks, state and local climate initiatives, corporate disclosure, and more. I cannot imagine two better additions for us.”

We warmly welcome both Hana and Catilin to HLS EELP!
