HHS, Treasury Introduced Pilot Solutions for Reducing Burdens on Tribal Grant Recipients

HHS and Treasury announced new pilot projects to reduce the administrative reporting burdens on Tribes receiving federal grants. The new measures simplified reporting, created reporting alternatives for Tribes lacking reliable high-speed internet, an HHS dashboard for grant-related information, and improvements in identity verification options for staff at Tribes. These pilots are in line with Executive Order 14112 (Reforming Federal Funding and Support for Tribal Nations to Better Embrace Our Trust Responsibility and Promote the Next Era of Tribal Self-Determination)  and 14058 (Transforming Federal Customer Experience and Service Delivery to Rebuild Trust in Government).
