FERC

FERC issued an order revising standard procedures used by utilities and regional transmission organizations for connecting generation projects to the transmission system. The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia upheld the order on July 31, 2026.

FERC approved Order No. 1920, directing utilities and RTOs to produce long-term regional transmission plans. The Fourth Circuit will review the rule.
